ScionHealth’s community grant program continues to support not-for-profit organizations aiding communities where our team members live and work.

LOUISVILLE, KY (February 26, 2025) – ScionHealth Gives, an initiative of ScionHealth, awarded grants totaling more than $100,000 to a dozen not-for-profit organizations based in communities served by the company’s hospitals and team members. Each organization receiving a grant was nominated by a ScionHealth team member. More than 50 organizations were nominated for grants.

“The large number of nominations reflects the involvement of our team members in their local communities and their desire to support organizations that share ScionHealth’s purpose of lifting the health and well-being of the communities we serve,” said Rob Jay, CEO of ScionHealth. “The record number of applications and amount of grants awarded is a testament to the quality of the non-profits nominated for grants this particular cycle.”

ScionHealth Gives encourages its employees at approximately 90 hospitals and campuses across 28 states to nominate organizations that make a real impact in underserved areas. The grant program typically opens multiple times a year to accept nominations, review applications, and then award grants, and expects to open for another round of funding soon.

Since its inception, the program has awarded more than $200,000 in grants.

All not-for-profit organizations that apply for a grant must be in full compliance with all requirements to maintain 501(c)(3) status and must be nominated/sponsored by a current ScionHealth employee. A panel of ScionHealth team members convenes regularly to award grants.
