ScionHealth Appoints Doug Shirley as Chief Financial Officer
Veteran healthcare finance leader brings decades of experience.
LOUISVILLE, Kentucky (April 8, 2025) – ScionHealth is pleased to announce the appointment of Doug Shirley as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective immediately. Shirley brings over 25 years of experience in healthcare finance and revenue cycle management to ScionHealth, having successfully driven value creation across public, private, and nonprofit healthcare organizations.

Shirley joins ScionHealth from PathGroup, where he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He has held a number of finance leadership positions in the healthcare industry, including CFO of National Group and Head of Enterprise Revenue Cycle Management at Surgery Partners, as well as Senior Executive Vice President and CFO at The Cooper Health System. Shirley's career also includes senior-level roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Ardent Health Services, and Ernst & Young.

Shirley holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Georgia. He is also a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, the American College of Healthcare Executives, and is commissioned as a Kentucky Colonel.
